Pengalaman Dengan TP Link Travel Router

Apa lagi kalau bukan memenuhi jadual kami. Kali ini jadual saya memang penuh, kembali ke asal selepas saya selesai 2 tahun menjalankan tugas pentadbiran akademik sebagai koordinator Sarjana mod FLP (Pengajian Fleksibel).

Walaupun kelas-kelas saya masih lagi online, tapi saya kini menjalankannya di dalam kelas sebenar. This is one step close to back to normal.

So my solution is to bring my room router to class. Read the post here

So, my solution is to find a very small router. Dalam hati ini berbisik, ada ke something like this being invented and sold to the world? So when I googled travel router atau mini router, it goes straight to one such product. The TPLINK Travel Router. Series dia is TL-WR902AC. Ookas, store yang saya pernah beberapa kali beli barangan IT pun tiada. I found one from OOREE Concept Store via Shopee. It's a preferred+ seller. Harga pun not bad, tak sampai RM 110.

I tried it at my office room. It was easy to setup as I had owned few TP Link's device. Saya juga gunakan apps TP Link from my phone to easily configure the SSD and password. As for the connection, I just plugged it to the ethernet network cable. Technician office saya beritahu suruh guna cable Cat 6 but using the cat 5 cable pun dah capai 80mbps download using Ookla Speed test. Kalau saya seorang guna that router (which why I preferred a personal router), it is more than enough.

You can read more about this travel router here.

For me, the main advantage is the size. Lebih kecil dari tapak tangan saya. Size lebih kurang besar my Pebble mouse. Power boleh sedut dari USB laptop. Kalau nak guna plug point pun boleh. The power adaptor and usb power cable included dalam box. If you want a personal router using the existing wired internet at the office, this is the one. If you want to transform the existing wired internet into a wireless one and share it with your friends, this is the one.

Cuma saya rasa downfall dia is, being a small router, rasa macam cepat panas. I'm not saying it is flaming hot, but we can feel it is warm when we touch it. Maybe it's just my negative perception for a small sized router. Router besar saya pun hangat juga tapi tak pernah lagi bermasalah bila guna for 7-8 hours. Tapi, router TP Link saya sebelum ini pernah kaput tiba-tiba after few years.

This TP Link Travel router really solves my problem of carrying my bulky office router. So far, everything's fine. When we start to having face to face session soon, I won't be frequently using it. Maybe only for travel purpose. Another things is you can put a simcard inside this router. The router also has 2.4 and 5g connection.

As this post comes on the second day of Ramadan, I would like to wish all my readers, Selamat Berpuasa.
